Clubs in School
Run by Mrs Hamilton, held in the Nursery Classroom on Thursdays 12:30 – 1pm, for KS2 (Y3 and Y4). Exploring a range of art in a relaxed, fun, creative environment.

Bible Lunch Time club runs on a Thursday lunch time from 12:30 – 12:55. The club is run by Wylam and District Churches and a team of parents. Currently around 30 children attend. BLT is a mix of games, stories, songs,puppets and fun activities similar to the Wylam Churches holiday club, teaching simple bible stories and community values.
All children from Reception to Year 4 are welcome. If you would like your child to attend the club, please ask for a consent form from the school office.
Chess club is a fun way to learn a new game, compete against others and solve problems. At Chess club we play chess and other games and puzzles.
Chess Club is open to everyone in Year 3 and 4, from beginner to more experienced player.
We meet every Tuesday lunchtime in Year 2 classroom. All are welcome!

Wylam First School choir is open to all children in Years 2, 3 and 4. There are no auditons – all are welcome! The choir is led by Helen Bennett and Sean Daly. We meet every Friday lunchtime (12.30 – 1:00) in the nursery classroom. We sing a wide variety of songs and the emphasis is always on having fun. For more details see our School Choir web page.
These sessions are now finished but all who participated worked very hard and thanks to Rowena Ward for all her help.
Held on a Wednesday at lunch time and open to children from Years 1 to 4. The Garden Club is run by Claire Stubbs. For more information please contact the school office.
These sessions are now over but were a big success with Year 3 and Year 4 really enjoying the lessons run by coach Simon Ricketts.

Mondays from 3:15 to 4.00 in main school yard.
Open to Year 3 and Year 4 pupils. Come along and learn basic netball skills and hopefully play games should there be enough interest.
Wear comfortable clothes and suitable footwear and bring a drink/snack if you wish.
