Looking back over last half term …
tecnicas opções binarias Spring Term School Improvement Partner (SIP) Report 2017
Each term we have a visit from our SIP who works closely with the school to monitor and improve standards for all children. As our last OFSTED Report was many years ago (November 2008) I thought you might appreciate reading a few of the highlights from our latest SIP report:
Well done everyone – pupils, staff, parents and Governors!
challenges facing the international trading system Guide Dogs for the Blind
Guide Dogs for the Blind came into school with two puppies on 28 February. They spoke to the children about what the dogs do and how they are trained. The puppies seemed to enjoy all the attention!
On 2 March we celebrated World Book Day with a range of activities: Malcolm Green (super storyteller) entertained the children with some amazing stories whilst mystery books appeared in rather unusual places. The children and staff also swapped classrooms to enjoy stories together.
On 3 March we raised a fantastic £80. A big thank you for all the donations of books and for coming along to the sale.

Nursery and Reception took delivery of 10 eggs ready to hatch. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching them hatch and quickly developing into young chickens over the 10 days they were with us. This really got us into the Easter spirit and was an inspiration for many Early Years activities.

Lots of lovely bright red was worn by the children to school on 24 March. We raised £286 – many thanks to all for your donations to Comic Relief.

Overall the village raised in excess of £2,000 for Brain Tumour Research. Again many thanks for your contributions and to the PTA for organising the school’s involvement. Some of our children even featured in a colour photo spread in the Hexham Courant modelling their amazing hats!

We finished the term with a visit to St Oswin’s church where Mr Atkinson lead an interactive Easter service with some super singing from the children. Thank you to St Oswin’s church for the end of service treats for all the children!
