March Update
The school allotment has recently taken a giant leap forward. The gates have been moved and adjusted to allow easier access and the central flag path laid thanks to Dominic Robinson, Mike Daniels and Steve Pardue. The blackberries and raspberries have been planted and these will be trained up the post and wire structure along the car park boundary.
Year 2 have been planting lots of seeds for planting out and we have set the first broad beans into the ground.
Our Aim
To provide a larger vegetable growing area and demonstrate a number of techniques including crop rotation and water harvesting. Initial ideas include:
- Raised beds with informal seating
- Small shelter with seat and habitat panel
- Trained soft fruit along car park boundary
