Outdoor
We will be continuing to use the outdoor environment to support and developing our learning.
This term the main focus of this will be looking at materials, rocks and soils but we will also be observing changes that occur in the school grounds as the Spring develops into, what will hopefully be, a glorious Summer.
Notes to parents:
Thank you for all of the help and support you continue to give your children. Just a few reminders:-
Reading:
May I ask that your child brings their reading book and reading record to school every day.
Whilst reading with your child look out for speech marks. This is a real focus area this half term.
Homework:
Please help your child to complete their homework every week.
(Homework will continue to be given out on a Thursday and needs to be completed by the following Wednesday)
Numeracy:
Please help develop your child’s mental maths by asking them quick fire questions such 3 x 5, or 20 – 17, or more complicated sums if your child can manage it. Children in Year 3 are assessed in this area and your help will make a big difference. Aim for five sums a day…
